John F. Kennedy: 50 Years Later
LP+A managed the planning, media relations and global outreach for the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination. The result: 1,350 articles worldwide and 288 million impressions, and 2,000 registered media, painting a positive picture of Dallas. The flawless execution of an event involving multiple dignitaries flying in from all over the world to mark the anniversary in an appropriately somber and dignified way was the direct result of months of planning with local, regional and federal public safety officials. LP+A was involved in credentialing and vetting media outlets every step of the way, to ensure access and far-reaching positive coverage.
2014 Dallas Ebola Public Health Crisis
When the global Ebola crisis erupted in Dallas, LP+A oversaw the city's worldwide communications effort. Daily press conferences, strategic messaging and media outreach minimized misinformation and panic. With little notice and without modern-day precedent, the firm assembled a team of public health officials and representatives from across county and city government to serve as spokespeople in national media, including Vanity Fair, where Mayor Rawlings and his staff were commended for a swift and timely response that prevented the outbreak from turning into a pandemic.
Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT)
For two decades, LP+A has worked closely with the CFT on a number of initiatives, from community research to multiple project executions, to strategic and tactical program planning and implementation. CFT is one of the nation’s premier charitable giving organizations that is educating children, making communities safer, and improving healthcare through tools like donor-advised funds, scholarships, and North Texas Giving Day, which has resulted in a record $2 billion of support to nonprofits across the region, the nation, and beyond. By partnering with the business community to develop civic solutions across the region for one of the largest business-driven philanthropic organizations LP+A has made an invaluable impact.
Dallas Holocaust Museum
LP+A created an external communications plan for the museum to launch in the event of an unforeseen hate crime. Solutions included a Crisis Communications Management Team and a central Communication Command Center.
UT Southwestern Foundation
LP+A leads the UT Southwestern Medical Center Foundation’s reputation management program. As one of the world’s most respected research hospitals, it is at the forefront of ongoing issues that require proactive communication planning.
